Work as fundraising development associate. The purpose of this project is to develop virtual fundraising campaign materials for a nonprofit organization seeking to bolster their fundraising efforts.
Requirements
1. Executive Summary
First in the plan but written at the very end, this section should provide a brief overview on what your fundraising plan is. This section will be the first section your donors will read, so make it interesting and catchy as possible to hold the attention of your donors and make them want to keep reading further.
2. Introduction
This section should have information about your nonprofit. The history of the nonprofit, it’s mission, vision, goals and objectives. Make a case as to how credible your nonprofit is to attract donors. You can add sub-headings if you like in this section for board of directors, vision and mission, goals and objectives.
3. Purpose/Goal(s) of Fundraising
Why are you raising funds for your nonprofit? What is the overall of fundraising? This section should have information on the purpose of fundraising campaign. Why are you organizing the fundraising campaign? Who is the target audience/who is going to benefit from this campaign. If possible, quantify these benefits for example, money to be raised or raised in the past through the campaign, number of beneficiaries served through the funds. This makes the purpose more transparent and credible to the donors and makes them believe that it has a viable and productive outcome
4. The Fundraising Campaign/Event
This section should have description about the fundraising campaign your nonprofit is organizing. It should describe about the event or campaign you are organizing, location, time, date, budget, amount of funds expected to raise, types of donors you wish to attract, what type pf campaign it will be, number of staffs and volunteers involved, if you plan to make this a one-time event or an annual thing and so on. It should have a detailed description of the event. It can be divided into multiple sub-headings like type, location, human resources, donors to be targeted (individuals, corporations, foundations) time and date and most importantly budget/cost/expenditure and if your nonprofit will also use social media to advertise about your campaign/event and marketing. Have a separate sub-heading for budget of the fundraising.
5. Fundraising Calendar
Develop a fundraising calendar where all your fundraising campaign plans and events can be known at a glance. It provides the overview of what your fundraising campaign is all about. This is an easy way for donors/funders to know about your campaign/event and plans for it without having to read the entire document.
6. Conclusion
Conclude your document binding all the above-mentioned descriptions and future plans of the nonprofit. Conclusion needs to be descriptive but concise.
