The conflict management strategies and conflict resolution strategies include accommodating; where the opposing side is given what it wants, this occurs in cases where the people in conflict perceive it as a minor issue (Martínez-Moreno, Zornoza, Orengo & Thompson, 2015).

            Nurse Witte should use Collaboration where multiple peoples’ ideas are integrated; the intention is to come up with a solution that can be accepted by everyone;

            Nurse Witte can structure a clear message by using the interaction theory. This is because the interaction theory, unlike the linear theory, acknowledges that both the sender and receiver of messages influence each other. It thus acknowledges that in any communication procedure all individuals are not just sources but also recipients of messages (Witte, 2015).

The Leadership and Management Strategies

            Nurse Witte should use the following leadership and management strategies Positive reinforcement and Discipline which are outlined below. A motivated workforce could characteristically be more effective and at the end more loyal to an organization (Kunnanatt, 2016).

  • Positive reinforcement: this works under the perception that if individuals are rewarded for exhibiting good mannerisms, they will endeavor to do so (Kunnanatt, 2016).
  • Discipline: The objective of discipline is to promote sought after behaviors, while positive reinforcement mainly promotes sort after behaviors. For instance, employees can be stopped from coming late to work by reducing their pay package (Kunnanatt, 2016).
