Answer
The Swindled King of Manhattan
In the wake of Monday morning this week, the authorities discovered the loss of pearls and treasures worth more than $500 million. The suspected thieves allegedly disguised themselves as federal agents who held more authority than the local police officers who were guarding the precious jewelry for transport to an unrevealed location.
The owner – Mr. John King – who is the wealthiest businessman in Manhattan, was led to believe that the jewels were in danger of being stolen while they were on transit to the unknown but secure location, and thus willingly gave them to the swindlers after convincing him that they were in better custody.
Rachel King, who is Mr. King’s eldest daughter, was rather made happy by the situation saying “at least now my father will notice his children in the house.” His wife, Mary, said “this will hit him (Mr. King) hard; he loved those pearls than anyone else in his life. He actually treated them better than he treated me.”
The police are still investigating the mysterious swindlers who managed to outsmart even their keenest officer, who was also guarding the jewels.
