Lk12:48 …From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who
has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
Nursing care often requires the delivery of medications to patients. This carries a huge responsibility
because all medications have the potential for side effects, but failing to assess an individual’s risk
makes the drug more potentially dangerous. That is why a professional nurse administers or
supervises the administration of medications in the hospital. The nursing profession is consistently
rated the most trusted profession in the world. What is trust and why is this important in the nursing
profession? How do you see your practice contributing to the identity of trust and the profession of
nursing?
Write a 1-2 page scholarly paper (you must have reliable resources) on the concept of trust and
trustworthiness (fidelity), and think about what you have been given that empowers this ability to
demand of you.
Note: Definition websites, Wikipedia, etc. are not reliable resources. You are expected to examine
the concept from a biblical perspective in a scholarly journal or commentary.
