As we see in the Gospels, discipleship is somewhat sequential. The disciples of Jesus accepted
who He was, then they began to follow, then He gave them responsibilities, then they came back,
and He taught them more, then they entered a new stage of discipleship. Eventually Jesus left
and they carried on in the power of the Holy Spirit.
o Identify what stage of discipleship you are currently in, giving evidence from
your life and correlating biblical support.
o Also, identify what spheres you need to submit to the centrality of Christ by
referring to Bonhoeffer’s steps in following Jesus.
