Q 7.a: Cyclical or Iterative Nature of Literature Review
The term cyclic nature or iterative nature of a literature review denotes the repetitive process through which a researcher undertakes cycles of operations or rounds of assessment while making inquiry into a research question (Herr & Anderson, 2014). This concept is relevant to the literature review writing process since it provides a guide through which desirable results can be achieved. Using this concept, different literature can be assessed and evaluated in order to retain the most relevant and useful. This way, the concept of iterative nature helps prepare a consistent and well-rounded literature review.

The terms that could be used in a search engine to generate a list of potential scholarly sources include; work-life balance, United Nations (UN), employees, and non-family duty stations.

The strategy entailed identifying key words and following an organized structure using the key terms and inserting them into the GCU library database. This approach helped in retrieving accurate results after which I skimmed and selected the most applicable sources.
