Answer
Back to Work Legislation
Back-to-work legislation is a special law which was passed by the provincial and federal government of Canada which puts an end to the strikes and lockouts and in turn imposing settlement for the matter at hand. Evidently, the back-to-work legislation is a law which the members of the workforce can use to get the staff members back to work when they are on strike in the events when an agreement cannot be achieved during the process of bargaining. The legislation acts as a form of last measure when all the negotiation measures have been explored (Omar, 2018). This law is mainly implemented among the employees working within sectors requiring the delivery of essential services such as security and health. For example, the law has been used to get the striking postal service employees back to work (Omar, 2018). The primary focus of the law is to prevent drastic outcomes likely to arise in the events of worker strikes which further jeopardizes the safety and health of the members of the public.
