One achievement in my work front was to identify reports that take more than 4 hours a day and eliminate manual tasks. After identifying a report which takes approx. 5.5 hours a day, my approach towards it was to automate it through simple and advanced excel formula. The time reduced is 2.5 hours. This made the reporting consistent by giving Leadership a synopsis by detailing the report requirements in a nutshell.

    • In this competitive world, giving a healthier chance to new/young people could bring in a change at the management roles by pursuing this career path / for a better understanding and progressive career path. Since, I am a graduate, holding a Post Graduate degree from a reputed institute would help me grow up the ladder in my career.

I opted for B. Com (Computers & Finance) as my course in college since I had a lot of interest towards computers. DBMS is more of creating, updating and managing data. I tried typically hard to understand the subject but in vain. Learning through hardships and fear of delay degree, I gained interest towards it and helped myself to clear the subject. During the 6 months gap period, I was taking a course in Diploma in Interior Designing and now I can proudly call myself as an Interior Designer with 2 projects in the first year of my ID career. Ironically, the world revolves around Databases now.

Additional Information for my Scholarship Admission

I have experienced educational gaps that have made it difficult for me to advance in the professional field. While in college, I opted to study Bachelor of Commerce (Computers and Finance) since I was passionate about computers. However, I was not successful in this area since I found it difficult to understand the subject. Being from a middle-income group, I experienced financial difficulties in catering for my tuition fees and at the same time I had fear of delaying my graduation to have my degree. Therefore, I had to gain an interest in this course which assisted me in successfully completing it and meeting the requirements.

Six months later, I enrolled for an interior design diploma course and I am currently a qualified designer who completed two successful projects during the first year of employment. I have derived several professional achievements which I consider to be a positive step in my career such as working with an effective team to establish a system under a budget of approximately USD $350. Also, within my professional life, I have obtained several achievements and awards. For instance, I was nominated as the “Best of FA” after being considered as the candidate who completed a tremendous work during a period of two consecutive years. Taking up challenges in my career field is also my desire. I have obtained an award as a top performer in meeting critical deliverables within a period of one month while working as a technical consultant.
