  I am interested in learning different ways of reducing the risk of developing a mental health condition. Therefore, Kratt and Houdyshell (2020), is a significant and useful article to me, given that it explains and provides approaches that College students can utilize while living with mental health conditions.  The article presents a basis for these techniques for both students and teachers and outlines their initial development. Therefore, the case study can be useful to my research when paired with more recent research about student teachers and mental health.  Kratt and Houdeyshell’s (2020) study explains all the major components that often contribute to the increase of student teachers mental health conditions. These include pessimistic perpectives and deeds, lack of optimistic personality and skills, and self-imposed coping approaches and external assistance. Understanding these concepts is not only essential in my studies, but also enhances my interaction skills and knowledge concerning coping with risks of developing mental conditions while in College.
