Application for Scholarship

Since my childhood, I have understood the significance of education, although my parents never attended college because of financial challenges. My parents pledged my childhood to teach me the love of studying and comprehending the significance of hard work and devotion. My parents propelled me to value education since they had limited education themselves. Due to this disadvantage, I learned to take everything I do earnestly and put all of my efforts into completing tasks.   I am in the necessity of financial aid to attend college as I am a low-income student. I am the first persons to attend college from my family. Meanwhile, I am working part-time as a cashier at a local convenience store to support myself. But with the rising tuition this year, I am confronting more problems in financial need. I believe I merit this scholarship because it will assist me in achieving my long-term objectives. By advancing my education in biology, I can work towards my career objectives in the medical field. I intend to make a difference in my community, and this scholarship will be the difference-maker concerning the education I require to do that.

Awarding me this scholarship will make a massive contribution to my study at the university. This scholarship would permit me to work less and concentrate on my studies. This scholarship will also allow me to attend conferences and workshops and expose me to industry players and mentors in my career field, and a great networking source. I am aware that being pre-med will be an academic challenge, and this scholarship would help me concentrate on those challenging classes instead of fretting about how to pay for them. I decided to pursue a career in the medical field because of my passion for helping others and enhancing their quality of life. Hence pursuing such an occupation will allow me to strengthen my community’s health conditions through organization health awareness camps. Since most community members have challenges accessing healthcare, organizing such camps will let them do check-ups and know their health conditions.

As I got more engaged with the NSLS, I found myself desiring motivation from the NSLS’s presenters and my fellow members. Once I started attending the leadership training and speaker broadcasts, I began working towards objectives past academics. Setting goals in every meeting permitted me to organize my primacies and reinforce my shortcomings.

After accepting the invitation to join the NSLS, I knew the practices linked with the NSLS would help me personally and professionally. Working in the morning, attending my classes, and team practices became unified once I appreciated the NSLS professionalism. I comprehended that I represented something enormous than myself shaped my character into a more treasured team member. Learning how to help others in diverse environments and behave as a role model are some of the most worthwhile aptitudes I learned and practice via leadership training. Last year I got the chance to test my capability, which was becoming a coach for my secondary school’s volleyball team. Thus, coaching was ideal for me to apply the aptitudes I studied in leadership workshops and speaker broadcasts. Inspiring and training young athletes to endeavor to become the best adaptations of themselves is one of the activities I have the most pride in.  I also formed the Red Cross club, where I drafted the vision for the club. The leadership skills I studied at NSLS helped in networking with not-for-profit firms for service events.
