Answer

Dress to Impress, UBS Tells Staff

The physical appearance of staff is an essential tool to influence customers. Besides, it is a way of making clients have confidence in an organization and have a satisfying experience while making transactions (Berton, 2021). The move to make staff appealing and smart should be part of an organization to improve its public perception and its commitment towards providing consistent services to clients. Thus, it is crucial for staff to dress to impress clients and improve the public image of an organization. The move by the UBS Swiss Bank could be the new age of competition given that most clients today are millennials who do not find smart and modern way of dressing offensive.

Just as the bank puts it, it was an essential move for them to make the dressing changes, especially after suffering public mockery of their unfair forced dressing codes. While people believe that there is a conventional way of dressing in the corporate world, many changes have occurred, and businesses should change to adopt what most clients in the market popularly accept (Berton, 2021). Failing to dress in a given way, such as wearing makeup for female employees or haircuts for male employees, may make an organization perceived as failing to accept changes in the business environment. Many organizations are likely to enhance the UBS Swiss Bank dressing code in the future to accommodate most clients’ interest.
