Answer

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) can be used as a new decision-maker in society as machines are programmed to simulate information equivalent to a human being. Also, AI was invented by philosophers, who believed that human thinking is symbolic and, therefore, can be imitated. Artificial intelligence is considered ideal as it can identify wrong decisions made and eventually speed up the decision-making process (Rose, 2020). Artificial intelligence has been defined as the revolutionary technology that has enabled the society to advance significantly. Also, individuals must understand each aspect dependently to understand the relationship between technology and science in society. This paper explores the connection between the society, science, and technology.

Theories Connected to Artificial Intelligence

Turing test

The act of machines acting like a man comes up fundamentally when AI programs have to interact with their users. The applications must respond according to specific traits of human interaction for them to be understood. However, basic reasoning and representation may necessarily not be based on the model of a human being (Moor, 2004).

Turing test has proven that there is a connection between society, science, and technology as the growth of technology has greatly grown in that almost every individual has access to means of communication. For instance, the union of International Telecommunication has stated that about seven billion subscriptions for mobile-phone telephones are maintained, and half the same population worldwide consume internet (Moor, 2004).

Cognitive Model Approach

The model is dependent on an experimental investigation of real animals and humans. An assumption is made that the user uses the computer only for examination purposes (Rohde, Vukovic, Zeldich, Ramesh, Hershkowitz, & Farkas, n.d.). The evidence noted is that cognitive science and AI understand each other more in terms of natural language, vision, and learning. The theory is understood once an individual has an understanding of how the human brain operates, thus making it easier to interpret the working of the computer.

The approach proves that there is a relationship between society, science, and technology were the formulation of a program that was to help humans solve problems correctly. For example, when the founders of GPS wanted to develop a program that would compare human's reasoning of humans to that of the computer and even perform and solve problems efficiently.

Law of Thought Approach

The approach contains two hindrances that result in AI not being performed adequately. The approach makes it impossible for the program to accept informal information, and while stating it formally, it requires logical notation, especially for information that is not 100% (Berkeley, 2020). The entire approach in the law of thought highly stressed on inferences. Aristotle proves that there is a relationship between society, technology, and science when he started his law of thought and claimed that these laws are expected to rule the code of the mind. Even the logic field started. An example of this approval is when he formulated a program that could provide adequate memory and time and also find a solution to a logic challenge in its existence (Berkeley, 2020).

Rational Agent Approach

The act of striving to meet one’s belief and goal means acting rationally, while on the other hand, an agent is one who thinks and acts instantly to achieve a set goal. Here the Artificial Intelligence is portrayed as the national agent for construction and study. Also, reasoning rationally is considered to reason logically in that not every time something is done is proven to be the right thing done, unfortunately, something is expected to be done. Therefore, the approach demonstrates that there is a strong connection between society, science, and technology. Even though human beings are rational beings, there is still a chance of occurrence of mistakes. Subsequently, so is the computer in that it might not be capable of solving some problems commanded to perform (Berkeley, 2020).

Conclusion

There is evidence that there is a strong association between society, science, and technology. Subsequently, it is fundamental to relate these issues as it can aid significantly in the growth of society. These aspects have been proven by the different philosophers that have studied these theories. The introduction of artificial intelligence has dramatically improved the decision-making process.
