Answer
Course Reflection
Generally, at the beginning of the course, I was anxious about what I would learn and I thought would have a hard time with the course contents, especially physical geography. However, during the coursework, I was able to familiarize with the course contents quickly and finally found the course so interesting. I was able to learn a lot of new things and my perception and understanding towards the topic geography not only changed, but also increased in knowledge.
To be sincere, the perception I had during the course is not what I had expected at the beginning. I expected a hard to understand course. Although, the course terminologies and processes at some instances were somehow complex, upon further reading, I was able to understand every bit with ease and the topics were really engrossing. I was able to learn and understand how dynamic processes and the associated features of landforms, climate, hydrological processes, soil science and ecology affect their environment. I was also able to understand that geography is not limited to physical features, but also encompasses how such features do affect the people and other organisms around them (Tasch 2016).
It was also interesting to know the physical landforms have affected climate as well as the distribution of persons around the world. I was able to note how landforms such as mountain, volcano, and plain have contributed to the change and patterns of weather and climate, both local and globally. I learned how huge water bodies such as seas and oceans among others do absorb and release in a very slow cycle, and how this action influences the temperature and weather globally (Strahler 2013). Through control of weather, temperature and climate, landforms, therefore, do greatly play a role in the distribution of persons around the world. I learned how maintains, volcanoes, plains and other physical features are formed and the process that led to their forming.
guidelines. Existing regulatory guidelines are sufficient in addressing these concerns (Goold, 2019)
