This can lead viewers to believe that one side of an argument has more validity than another due to its biased representation within the network's reporting style. In terms of body language and word usage when discussing a story or issue, CNN tends to use words like “alleged” or “accused” when addressing subjects related to criminal activity whereas Fox News often uses harsher language such as “guilty” or “convicted” without any qualifiers leading up them (for example: stating someone is guilty before they are proven so).
