Indian Weddings

In these weddings, they are conducted in stages. Notably, the marriage takes three days considering all ceremonies. Misri is conducted a number of days before the wedding where the couple exchange gold rings, prayers, and flower garlands. At the Sangeet party, the groom and bride families enjoy dances and songs (Brettell, 2018). During Mahendi ceremony, women get together to have their hands drawn with the Mahendi. Following this is the Haldi ceremony which entails spreading the mixture of turmeric, water, and oil on the groom and bride skin. Other key aspects of Indian weddings include mandap, Laja Homa, Mangalsultra, colours, and attire.

Israeli Wedding Traditions

Key traditions and rituals related to Jewish weddings include fasting where the married individuals do not eat until their first meal as a couple, Bedeken which entails groom looks at the bride, veil, and face, ketubah signing which involves signing the prenuptial agreement regarding the roles of the bride among other aspects, and walking to the Chuppah which involves the groom and bride parents walking their children down their aisle (Tifferet, Saad, Meiri, & Ido, 2018). Vows are then recited under the chuppah, circling performed by the bride, and seven blessing ceremony performed. Other activities include breaking the glass and shouting “Mazel Tov.”

Korean Weddings

At these weddings, the vows are recited in the ceremony of Kunbere. The groom and bride wear hanbok which is a traditional dress for the Korean which is developed mainly for the ceremony (Min & DeLong, 2015). It is a representation of traditions and is made of no pockets, bright colours and simple lines. The ceremony is officiated by a celebrant where the newly married couple sips wine from a gourd provided by the bride’s mother. Notably, the ceremony usually lasts less than one-half hour.

When including pets in a wedding ceremony, four aspects that one should keep in mind are
