Attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder [ADHD] is a health disorder that affects the psychology of the patient in different ways. In the case, of Katie's condition, it is a unique form of ADHD that affects the patient's attention. Her condition is known as Attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder predominantly inattentive [ADHD-PI] (Haack et al, 2017).
ADHD-PI is arguably a hyperactivity disorder. Most of the ADHD patients demonstrates signs of aggression, lack of restraint, and impulsivity (Friedman, 2019). The symptoms are a result of the behavioral effect caused by the patient’s behavior. Other ADHD patients experience a mood disorder that results in excitement, anger, and anxiety (Friedman, 2019). In Katie’s case, she shows signs of learning disability but is limited to hyperactivity.
