Question 1

When considering knowledge management and documentation, I would add the e-charting in the EHR to support my work. E-charting is essential for more excellent facilitation of monitoring the work and offering feedback. One of the benefits of e-charting is that it is regarded as a continuous QI evaluation (Mohammad et al., 2020). The availability of the e-charting minimizes time spent on reading and eliminating legibility concerns. The inclusion of the e-charting in the EHR would enhance the quality of psychiatric documentation. Moreover, the implementation of the e-charting will create a platform where I would interact with the patients and quickly evaluate their health records (Mohammad et al., 2020). The e-charting is essential since it significantly advocates for a constant enhanced level of medical records' quality and quantity.

In my career line, quality documentation is a platform that provides essential and valuable information for existing assessment, constant care, and continuity to therapy. As a psychiatric e-charting is essential, it helps maintain accurate records concerning patients, thus eradicating errors. In this context, the enhancement in psychiatric documentation is considered to endorse a positive and promising impact on psychiatric services (Mohammad et al., 2020). Studies demonstrate that the benefit of utilizing and advancing e-charting in a substantial outpatient psychiatric infirmary have stimulating implication for other healthcare organizations.

The current technology that I often utilize in inpatient care with significant benefits from human factors engineering concepts is the Beck Depression Inventory. This technology is considered the most utilized psychological questionnaire for depression and is often regarded as the core until evaluating depressive symptoms dimensionally. Studies indicate that a ready to utilize assessment form describes 21 anxiety signs permitting the care providers to evaluate the depression level of the patient (Jackson-Koku, 2016). The Beck Depression Inventory, also described as a multiple-choice self-report, enables psychiatrists to rate the severity of the patient symptoms.

The central aspect that should improve is the inventory significantly relying on the theory (Jackson-Koku, 2016). It will be more effective if this type of digital questionnaire also attains the patient's practical information to measure the level of depression. Moreover, the BDI is often considered to have a higher item complexity, a decrease of representative patterns, theoretical objectivity of presentation, uncertain factorial efficacy, the variability of records over short-term periods, and low discrimination against stress.

Telehealth is described as utilizing digital communication and knowledge technologies, including mobile phones and computers, to remotely obtain healthcare services and maintain an individual's health. On most occasions, these may include technologies individuals use from home that a psychiatric utilizes to support and enhance healthcare services (Olson, McSwain, Curfman & Chuo, 2018). Researchers indicate that different individuals across the world currently utilize Telehealth. However, this form of healthcare technology presents different challenges. These include limitations on how Medicare recounts and funds for Telehealth. Shortage of internet connectivity and sufficient connection pace.  Licensure barriers for healthcare staff beyond country borders and facilities expenses.

Studies indicate that current policy barriers at the state and federal levels inhibit Telehealth in urban and rural areas (Olson et al., 2018). These policy barriers include malpractice, reimbursement, licensing, prescribing, credentialing, and privileges. Telehealth is considered the fastest means of accessing information or contacting a healthcare provider internationally. However, issues such as the language barrier may often emerge due to the care provider's cultural diversity and the patients.

Telehealth is a platform that necessitates individuals to be educated for them to understand how to use the tools necessary for communication (Olson et al., 2018). For instance, individuals such as the elderly often encounter a problematic moment in operating tools such as computers and smartphones. In most occasions, Telehealth necessitates for the patient and the care provider to communicate using a video call. On such occasions, this may be complex to individuals who live in areas that do not have useful internet (Olson et al., 2018). Moreover, on some occasions, the patient might lack the capital for the internet services making this method of providing care expensive for people living in rural areas and less revenue.
