Query Letter
Dear Barton,
I hope you are doing great. I am writing with regard to my interest in the Journal of Nursing Education. For the past five years, I have been exploring the interaction between information technology and healthcare practice in the enhancement of outcomes. My investigation has led me to the conclusion that digital innovations assume a pivotal role in this industry, particularly in practices that involve information. When reflecting on this matter, I cannot help but acknowledge that Nursing Education is an information-intensive field of practice; hence, it ought to be intertwined with these technologies (Singh & Masango, 2020). As an ardent follower of your article releases, I believe that my piece will complement the ongoing discourse on how technology is transforming nursing education. Unlike most of your published works on the scope of the issue, the proposed project will discuss the implementation of a national video streaming model for curriculum development.
Video streaming is an important way to break away from the physical constraints facing Nursing Education, especially now that a significant portion of learners are from diverse backgrounds (Singh & Masango, 2020). Such a system allows learners to gain access to limitless online information regarding their courses at their convenience. If such a program is implemented at the national level, all educators and students will merge as one body, thus improving the standards and outcomes of practice in an enhanced manner. I intend to leverage professional focus groups to generate in-depth data on how such a program can be implemented. Emphasis will be placed on its advantages, disadvantages, and mode of application. On this note, I request to deliver a comprehensive 20-30 page research-based article on the discussed issue.
Thanks for spending your valuable time reading through my proposal. Your response is highly appreciated.
Warm Regards,
Yours, {Insert Student’s Name}.
Author Guidelines for ‘Journal of Nursing Education’ Submissions
First and foremost, this journal features research briefs, major articles, educational innovations, syllabus selections, and quality improvement briefs. All articles are expected to focus on undergraduate and graduate nursing education. Authorship criteria is limited within conception, data collection, writing/revising the manuscript, and analysis and interpretation: this implies that all individuals who partake in any of the mentioned aspects are listed as authors of the piece. Once the piece is accepted and the author(s) complete the Author Statement-ICMJE Form for Disclosure of Potential Conflict of Interest, it becomes a permanent property of the Journal of Nursing Education (Healio, 2020). During preparation, researchers are expected to adhere to ethical recommendations proposed by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) to protect human subjects throughout all research procedures. Reviews and analyses should also be completed in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) model (Healio, 2020). Last but not least, references ought to be in line with the seventh edition of the American Psychological Association Publication Manual.
Conferences for Abstract Submissions
It appears fair to highlight that the abstract piece will be ready by November 1, 2020. This way, I will have the opportunity to discuss it during the 23-24 Nov Nursing Education Summit, which will be located in Miami, USA. Another avenue through which I will present my abstract to relevant professionals is the Global Nursing Education and Nursing Technology in Toronto, Canada. This event will occur on Dec 4, 2020, and it will also offer an opportunity to enhance my grasp of the rate of innovation in global nursing education.
