Answer

Medication Adherence for Adult Africans Americans Diagnosed With Hypertension

A dissemination plan is important since it indicates the approach through which research findings will be communicated to the public. The plan needs to comprise of platforms that will trigger the maximum impact so that the message is passed across accordingly. The findings of the research question, “Among adult African American patients diagnosed with hypertension (HTN) at an outpatient clinic, does a culturally focused educational intervention lead to improved antihypertensive medications adherence over a three-month period?" will be disseminated through peer reviewed journals and conferences.

Journal of Healthcare Communications

The journal that will be used to disseminate the findings of the current research is the Journal of Healthcare Communications. The author guidelines indicate that it is an open access journal which publishes articles only after a thorough peer review process (Journal of Healthcare Communications, 2021). The articles must be original and the subject should feature matters that are of medical importance. The content should be concise and written in a way that is easy to understand. There is an editorial process which ensures that a paper can be improved before being published (Journal of Healthcare Communications, 2021). There are specific article processing charges that the author must pay once the manuscript is approved for publication. However, there are no other subscription charges. The manuscript should be arranged to flow from the Title page, Abstract, Text, References, Tables, and Figures.

Re: Submission Query

Date: 16th January, 2021

Dear Dr. Kourkouta Lambrini

I would like to submit an article for Nursing Publication. The full title is Medication Adherence for Adult Africans Americans Diagnosed with Hypertension in which I develop further on the importance of education interventions for this group of patients. My article features 1,500 words.

Hypertension is a health condition that continues to impact the African American population significantly. So far, a lot of measures have been taken to try and deal with the antihypertensive medication adherence problem. The article adds to that body of knowledge by analysing the impacts of education interventions where the patients are informed of the importance of the medication, and following through with the required prescriptions as needed. My intent is to inform as many professionals as possible, about the importance of imparting the relevant knowledge to patients. I hope to encourage more professionals to take enough time educating African American patients on how the medication works to improve their quality of life.

My article will reveal to the readers the importance of education interventions which help to change the mind-set of patients.  It helps them understand why this is essential if they need patients to be keen on medication adherence. This article fits into the nursing publication since nurses are responsible for caring for patients. I hope that you will decide to review “Medication Adherence for Adult Africans Americans Diagnosed with Hypertension” so that I can email the completed document.

I am looking forward to your response.

Sincerely,

Conferences

The first conference that has been chosen for abstract submission is “International Conference on Cardiovascular Nursing and Nurse Practitioners” in Paris, France from waset.org. The abstract submission due date is 28th January, 2021 (Waset.org., 2021). The conference dates will be 26th to 27th August, 2021. The second conference is “International Conference on Cardiovascular Nursing” in Rome, Italy from waset.org. The abstract submission due date is 28th January, 2021. The conference dates will be 3rd to 4th June, 2021 (Waset.org., 2021b).

These two conferences have been chosen since different researchers who are focusing on cardiovascular health will be present. In addition, nurses working in this department will be present. Therefore, if my abstract is chosen for the conference, it will present a great opportunity to communicate my findings with them. By having to present the findings myself, there will be a great opportunity to further explain points and respond to any questions that the audience may have. In addition, it ensures that the target audience will understand the research process and findings significantly, especially since many may not take time to go through the whole paper from the journals.

Another reason why these conferences were chosen is because of the varying locations. A gap in practice is often noted from one country to the next. This is often as a result of lack of sufficient information regarding healthcare practice. However, if the same findings can be presented to different countries, it is likely that the targeted healthcare professionals will be reached. This will lead to high rates of implementation of the recommendation of education interventions.

Conclusion

This dissemination plan targets journals and conferences. The publication in journals ensures that the findings will be accessed by different professionals at any time. The conferences, on the other hand, present a more thorough form of communication since it enables an interaction where certain points can be clarified. Therefore, they are both expected to enhance the communication process through which healthcare professionals are informed on the potential of education interventions for African American patients with hypertension.
