    Access to care

   Management of elopement will help in improving access to care by patients in the Barnes Homes. Installing the Wander Arm Bracelets that captures the patient's name, emergency phone numbers, and admissions will help the caregivers to provide services to the patients with just a click (Feldkamp, 2015). Similarly, the technology will help the nurses monitor the behavior of patients susceptible to wandering and eloping, which allows them monitor their movements and give them the care they need. Also, well-trained staff will help improve service delivery to the notorious patients who tend to elope as the nurses will have a mechanism of handling them. The technology will also help prevent the patients from being exposed to risks, thus better health care for them and prolonged life (Lester, Garite, & Kohen, 2012). Besides, the technology will help the nurses to manage new visits to the facility and process their admissions with immediate effect (Rape et al., 2015).

   Family Satisfaction

   Elopement challenges affect most families negatively. Elopement is a significant contributor to mortality in individuals with mental illness in most healthcare facilities. Besides, elopement has denied most families sleep as they are always worried about the whereabouts of those who have eloped (Tom, 2016). The development of a better mechanism of preventing elopement in facilities will go a long way in assuring families that their relatives are doing well in the facilities they have been admitted to (Moore et al., 2009). The automated technology will also help parents to plan their visit easily to the facilities. Similarly, the new technology will help nurses to understand the reasons that trigger wandering and elopement among the patients in Barnes homes for better care. Thus, parents will be satisfied with the well-being of their children in the long run.

   Summary and Conclusions

   Findings

   Most facilities in the world are affected by their patients' elopement, which mostly leads to adverse results for the patients such as injuries or even death when they wander off. Mangini and Wick (2017) analyzed statistics that emphasized the risky nature of elopements as most people that eloped were involved in traffic-accident and drowning related incidents. Therefore, an effective technology needs to be adopted and implemented to prevent these patients from eloping from their facilities. By implementing the technology in this project, we were able to successfully reduce the number of elopement cases in the target institution. Hence, this technology is proven as a viable option. Furthermore, implementing measures to reduce insomnia, such as accommodating bedtime and sleep rituals among patients, further helped reduce elopement. Therefore, meeting the needs of patients in time and using this technology was effective in lowering elopement.

   Significance of the Project to the Nursing Profession

   Elopement can have adverse effects on the patients and the staff of any facility. This project is of great importance to the nursing profession at large. This project helps nurses to be able to manage patients' behavior while in the facility since the system captures the day to day movements. Thus, nurses can identify patients with the tendency to wander and elope from the facility (Williams, 2017). Also, this project suggests that nurses should be educated and aware that patients can elope at any time, and therefore they should be vigilant. Besides, the project helps nurses be aware of the significance of using new technology to prevent patients from eloping.

    

   Recommendations for Future Studies

   This research suggests that future studies should focus on why elopement occurs in most facilities and find suitable interventions for it. Also, studies should be carried out on how to manage the elopement impact on parents and families.

   Implementation

   Implementing this technology was a success since it helped reduce the general number of elopement cases in the target facility. Furthermore, it enabled the identification of some of the non-accidental causes for elopement. These include insomnia, loneliness, fear of forced medication, and high medical costs. While using the technology in this project effectively countered elopement, further intervention is necessary to prevent patients from intentional eloping. The methods that proved useful and that medical staff should employ for the same results were counseling for those that associated hospitals with death, getting in touch with family members where applicable, and assuring them that they would only get medicated if they consented.

   Furthermore, caregivers should make sleep conditions favorable for patients to reduce insomnia cases. However, the main challenge arose when dealing with patients that feared high medical costs would affect their families worse than their bad health would or that the hospital would refuse to discharge them unless they paid their charges. For these patients, this research's findings suggest system-level interventions to reduce medical costs by providing only life-saving and vital services.

Al- Gore effectively persuades the audience into joining his cause against global warming by using persuasive communication strategies, a solid introduction, rhetoric strategies, oral citations, proper speech delivery, and presentation aids to evoke the audience in supporting his cause.

            Al- Gore’s successfully incorporates a solid speech introduction to attract the audience’s attention. He begins the introduction with a joke alluding to him being the “former future president of the United States.” The use of such a satirical comment evokes the audience wondering who would be bold enough to stand on stage after losing a race, such as the presidential election. This captures the audience to be more involving in his speech and sit for a better listening into the matters at hand. Later on, he introduces his speech topic by focusing on his central message, outlining his whole address's main points. Finally, it eases the audience by showing a mangrove parchment indicated to involve the audience in relating to a preserved environment before expounding on his speech. The audience is engaged after this as he gets into his central message and further engaging in his speech.

All these visual aids serve as areas involving the audience's concern and worry over the deteriorating ecosystem around us. Al-Gore was not shy off, including videos of politicians passing over the global warming issue through satirical cartoons while also poking at renowned scientists worldwide who showed the existence of climate change. As much as Al-Gore is a politician, he intended for the audience to understand that his concern was for the environment and endeavors towards combating global warming rather than politically-driven shows with aspirations of a political seat.

Lastly, Al- Gore successfully uses ethos, pathos, and logos strategies to capture the audience's attention in his speech. Ethos employs a sense of trustworthiness and competence that enables the audience to believe in the speaker's credibility. He shows ethos by acknowledging his commitment to the earth as an environmental activist.
