Introduction

            Ethical problems are faced by managers in their businesses every day at work. There is a seldom a decision managers face lack ethical dimension. They confront ethical issues while carrying out leadership rsponsibilites as well as facing the ethical aspects in decision making. whether the business people are engaged in planning, communicating, organization, motivating or some management role, they still face matters of fairness and unfairness, right and wrong creeping in their decision making processes. Level of business does not matter as the problem involved in business affects  both thetop, middle and lower levels and in all functions whereby ethical considerations plays a vital role in running the ideas involved (Strangman & Knowles 2012).

            Problems faced in business management involves generally the situations people face in business that are imbued with content of ethics. These are the issues, actions or decisions containing matters of what is good and what is bad for the business. Business ethics is important since it is regarded as a major component of corporate socal responsibility. This is to allow any business meet the four different social responsibilities required such as obeying the law, profitability making, engaging in ethical practices and being a philanthropic responsible citizen (Machan, 2009).  In any business, when appropriate legal values are not set, many situations will be faced that are ethically driven. The situations occur at levels that are of multitudeas they involve multiple stakeholders and perceived in variety of ways. As a result, ethical issues faced at industries by managers are results from their conflict of interest. The conflict arises generally from the own values of the manager and those of the employer or some other stakeholder groups that has interest in the process of decision making. This paper therefore highlights immoral management as one of the major problem associated by managers in managing different businesses. This is in relation to an industry that is involved, for instance, textile industry.

Problem statement

            Immoral management refers to the inappropriate procedural actions that are deployed by managers in a business set-up that aims at offering bad leadership within the industry. The practices violates ethical principals and norms that are necessary within business. The problem is generally devoid of ethical percepts and implies an actie and positive opposition to what is regarded as ethical as t is discordant to good practices. Immoral management creates ethical climate within an industry by management group and may have significant bearing on behaviors and actions of employees. this may be costly to the industry when fixing up the menace incurred so as to keep the company in realizing the principles set. Moreover, when organizational leadership is changed from one time to the other, the industry may take time to deliver good services for instance, textile products to the customers if the problem of immoral management is not rectified earlier because the process of transition may take more time from one manager to the other (Petrick & Quinn, 2007).  

            Immoral malpractices have escalated the past decades.  Management in any business set up has become a vital concern to the society with regards to immoral problems. The management has failed to follow the management ethics especially to the leadership involved in the industry set by the policies and mission aimed at improving services. Textile company requires a lot of communincation from different departments and relevant stakeholders to ascertain the best products needed in the market and what should not be produced at a particular time. This is because the entire process requires many steps to obtain the different products required. The leasdership therefore needs to have good management ethics at all times. It should be understood what management ethics means, why it is important and how it should be integrated into decision making (Petrick & Quinn, 2007).

            Lack of proper morality has led many businesses to engage in a lot of malpractices. Therefore, many business have extorted money from the public through dubious means. Textile industry can therefore fail not to meet the goals set in service delivery. Furthermore, the moral problems in business management seems to be changing in form and frequency. Managers and business employees have to deal with moral problems that emanate from the business environment of the textile industry (Strangman & Knowles (2012).

 During the period between 1998 and 2002, the moral problems that dominated the headline had a financial orientation. For instance, Enron, Tyco, and WorldCom gave false information about their income statements and balance sheets. Nonetheless, Bank of Africa, Putnam Investments, and Janus capital allowed the exploitative funds they had sold to small investors. The financial immorality was due to the extreme pressure and risk that characterized and industry. Moreover, the financial immorality was also due rewards that characterized a business industry.  Another moral issue is that there is a substantial benefit for few individuals and at the same time a great harm to others. This moral issue entails the rights and the wrong of individuals. For instance, who should benefit and how to ensure that everyone needs have been met in the business industry (Machan, 2009).

            The best way to ensure the immoral problem is solved in the business industry of textile is to ensure that the legal requirement set in place is adhered to. The Legal requirement in moral analysis means the laws adopted by members of the society to regulate the behavior of society members. These regulations will protect the rights of other people within the business industry. As a result, good delivery of textile products will be produced even to the expectation of government regulations. Business people especially the managers need to be ethical and responsive to the different expectations of the stakeholders and society so as to maintain good legitimacy within a society. Being ethical is the right thing to do as a manager from the perspective of moral philosophy. According to Petrick and Quinn (2007), immoral management in a business will results in practical impact and the business will not thrive. Trust will not be built from the shared values as well as lack of consistency that will lead to predictability in planning of the business. Furthermore, Machan (2009) states that the problem of immoral management will not build loyalty among workers in the industry because confidence will be lacking and predicatability that is essential for crisis management. This is because consumers, effective partnership as well as shareholders care so much on values.

With ethical leadership therefore, oppressive regulation is forestalled. Managers of industries need to be just and fair at all times because it is the best interest of the managers and organization at large to be ethical for effective delivery of services and build good reputation at all times. Strangman and Knowles (2012) helps us understand ethical problem in a business when he postulates that conduct has an important dimension if it comprises of unfairness, unaccountability, dishonesty and immoral management. The problems faced are at either on personal level, organizational or even at global level.

            In the study made by Petrick and Quinn  (2007) for instance illustrates how conflicts exist between interests of managers or company and personal ethics. Problems arise between the managers and the conflicts involved  with stakeholders groups as suppliers, competitors, customers, law and government, and employees. Immoral management when deployed will lead to the company organization constituting to unauthorized payments, conflicts of interest of employeeenvironmental issues and inappropriate gifts.  

            In conclusion, business management ethics is an important concern to the industry and the society at large. A high regard for business management ethics is not common in public, and therefore for management community to curb this, vital efforts are required. After identifying the problem, it should be understood and determined why it affects the intergration of decision making within the business set-up within the textile industry as this will identify any problem related and mitigation procedures identified in proper time. From this problem therefore, there are strong and persuasive reasons needed for the managers to engage in promoting ethical behavior in the industry to meet the customer expectations both locally ad globally. The reasons are both the normative ones whereby the expectation of the  managers is to be ethical or ought to be and, the pragmatic reasons whereby the managers have the self interest to be ethical. Interested managers should at all times abide by the principle of ethics from different moral philosophies so as to avoid any development of business problems. Immoral management should be avoided and transition should occur from amoral to moral mode of management in leadership, having good behaviors and seting up good polices and practices within the business for effective profit delivery of any industry.
