Answer

Executive Summary
Presently, about 20% of the United States (US) women have been raped, and this high rape incidence has been associated with the fact that women are less armed or protected against attacks (Countrymeter, n.d). Diva in Defense is a firm that was started after the founder, Bianca Sosa, was attacked and mugged by unknown people after ending her shift late one night. The company concentrates upon selling women’s self-defense items with a touch of glamour. It focuses on empowering women globally so that they can have the feeling of being in control of their lives and safe wherever they go to. The company has been in existence for four years. The company’s mission is to make and distribute self-defense items and make them easily accessible to women globally.
Diva in Defense specializes in the production of tasers that are decorated with Swarovski crystals, shiny and cute defense key chains, and lipstick pepper sprays. Currently, the company has a variety of options of self-defense items in the market. Most of the products can be bought at army surplus shops/stores, Walmart, and sporting goods shops/stores. Diva in Defense’s products are unique from its competitors,’ are hand crafted with glamour and beauty, something that most women cherish and seek (Mccaughey & Cermele, 2014). Similarly, Diva in Defense’s products are not bulky and come in various designs and colours. The company equally offers a line of adorable puppy and kitten key chains, which apart from being cuddly and cute, are also sharp objects that one can use disable their attackers long enough for them to escape.
The world is currently a dangerous environment for women. At Diva in Defense, the concentration is to make sure that women across the globe are safe and armed with needful items/equipment to defend themselves from acts of attack. Attackers and assailants would be less likely to aim at women who are leaving grocery or shopping malls alone if they have the knowledge that most women around the globe are currently protected or armed (Mccaughey & Cermele, 2014). In 2017, for instance, Countrymeter (n.d) indicates that there are more than 120 million females within the US aged between 15 and 65, implying that Diva in Defense targets a market of more than 120 million customers.
Financially, Diva in Defense’s financial summary indicates that after the first year of operation, the company realized a revenue of $475,000 and had operating costs of $195,900. It realized a net profit of $204,100 and an 84% gross profit margin. In five years times, the company is projected to realize a profit worth 3 million, a forecast developed based upon the company’s current business trends of averagely 15% increases in the company’s overall sales every month. The company’s client base is continuing to enlarge, and now with skilled personnel, Robert Gsellman, in charge of marketing, Diva in Defense will continue growing as projected or possibly at even higher rates. Nonetheless, this forecast does not take into consideration any possible investor financing, which could significantly increase or boost the company’s product supply and sales subsequently.
