Answer
I was aware of the existence of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). I have over the years volunteered with organizations that offered mental health assistance to low income earners in Florida. The time spent with the organization enabled me to know about GAD. Learning about various mental illnesses was interesting as it has equipped me with basic knowledge of various mental conditions. According to Seeman et al. (2016) being informed about various mental conditions increases one’s ability to sensitize other thus reducing stigmatization in communities.
