Answer
Global Brands Ranking
Based on the video, the companies with the largest jump in branding are Apple, Google, and Amazon. Apple came to rise in 2011 when Coca-Cola was the leading brand, followed by IBM and Microsoft. Within two years, Apple had overthrown other leading brands such as McDonald's, Disney, Toyota, Intel, and Mercedes-Benz and became the leading brand (TheRankings, 2019). According to Kulcsár and Szocs (2019), Apple developed a brand based on consumers' preferences. This approach attracted various consumers who became loyal to the brand and spread the word about Apple's brand, thus becoming a household brand. Google and Amazon came to rise due to the development in technology. The companies branded themselves as organizations that offer services with just the press of a button (Kulcsár & Szocs, 2019). For instance, Amazon became a household name due to its services of delivering and connecting buyers with consumers from different parts of the world.
According to the video, the companies that remained consistent are Coca-Cola and Microsoft. Coca-Cola has been the leading brand from 2000 to 2013. However, the introduction of Apple, Google, and Amazon has resulted in the company dropping (TheRankings, 2019). These brands have, nonetheless, remained consistent with their production and revenue, given that they are among the top six in the glob++al brands ranking (Kulcsár & Szocs, 2019). Companies that fell include Nokia, IBM, and GE (TheRankings, 2019). Nokia fell due to the introduction of Samsung and Apple whereas IBM fell due to the rise of Apple and Microsoft. On the other hand, GE fell due to other electric manufacturing organizations such as Leviton, Legran, and Boeing, which flooded the market.
