    Wooden Heart Tray

The wooden Heart-shaped tray is a beautiful piece of handmade craft which have been placed strategically on my bedside drawer, significantly to decorate my bedroom with beauty, warmth, and love. On rare occasions, I use the piece as a candy tray to play my video games. Three years down the line, as I was using my laptop, an advert popped in about Folksy online market for handmade goods. Following my love for art and crafts on which I have some handmade collections, I went ahead to check on the page, and oh! It was interesting to view through the countless arts and crafts of amazing creativity. As I was looking through, my attention was captured by this beautiful piece of a wooden heart-shaped tray with an appealing inside made of a mixture of scribbled colors that is white, red, and black (Markowitz, 1994). I didn’t think twice, and I immediately placed my order on the cart and followed the purchasing procedure, and after three shipping my order was delivered to my doorstep. I was very excited to hold this beautiful piece.

As the name describes, this art piece is made up of wooden material and shiny brown paint both inside and the outside, with a mixture of three colors, red, black, and white on the inside scribbled to form beautiful coagulation (Markowitz, 1994). As per own made meaning, the wood used in this piece brings out the nature aspect since wood is extracted from plants which are natural resources. The white black and red colors scribbled inside means a combination of love, peace, and unity.

To me, the wooden heart-shaped tray symbolizes love, peace, prosperity, and the love for nature following the materials used to make the art. Further, the tray brings love and warmth to my life and happiness to anyone who sees it and it’s valuable to nature lovers like me. Coagulation of the three scribbled colors signifies unity and harmony which nature brings forth.

The wooden heart tray is a fine art which is a craft that has gained additional value way beyond its purpose and function as an elevated craft (Markowitz, 1994). By serving to bring warmth, love, peace, and beauty out of a crafted wooden heart tray, this piece qualifies to be fine art.

Among my handmade art collection, I choose the wooden heart tray to communicate love, warmth, and peace, which nature can bring forth as well as the coming together of one, two three peace can give birth to a beautiful story full of love, peace, unity, and warmth. People ought to exist in different races, religions, beliefs, and gender and together coagulate to form one beautiful color of love, peace, harmony, and live in warmth. This piece of art communicates more than just a beauty to lay somewhere in the house (Markowitz, 1994). I also choose it to communicate further the peace, love, and joy found in nature, hence advocating for people to try nature as a therapy as well as conserve it as it brings joy.
