Answer

        • Healthcare Advocacy

Studies indicate that hypertension (HTN) contributes significantly to cardiovascular illnesses and presents considerable concern in the U.S. Moreover, healthcare advocates suggest that the perception of HTN treatment adherence substantially contributes to the more unsatisfactory outcome encountered by the African Americans (AAs). Healthcare advocates describe adherence as the practice that is corresponding with guided instructions, including lifestyle alterations and prescriptions.  HTN treatment generally incorporates medication and lifestyle changes (Xiong et al., 2018). However, people institute culturally based home remedies instead of prescribed medicine, thus, presenting a profound effect on their treatment outcome.  Understanding prospect's adherence to medication and lifestyle modifications directed to treat HTN may administer the base for generating culturally perceptive, tailored interventions to enhance adherence for the African American population. Generally, culturally tailored educational programs on medication adherence ultimately increase compliance in antihypertensive medication (Nasser & Ferdinand, 2018). These programs are considered beneficial since they educate individuals about the risks and the benefits of adhering to medication.

Health Care Policy for Advocacy in Health Care is essential in enhancing adherence medication. Advocacy in healthcare offers individuals an opportunity to make decisions that affect their well-being and lifestyle (Ferdinand, Nedunchezhian & Ferdinand, 2020). Moreover, Healthcare policy for advocacy is vitals since it often holds the government responsible for meeting different individuals' health necessities. Furthermore, Healthcare Policy for Advocacy ensures that patient advocates assist the patients to communicate with their healthcare providers to attain the information they need to develop decisions concerning their health. While considering African Americans diagnosed with hypertension, the Healthcare advocacy policy helps such individuals set up appointments for physician visits and medical tests and attain legal, social, and financial assistance.

Studies indicate that thirty percent of American Americans fail to adhere to hypertension medications since they believe that their health depends on their destiny or fate. Furthermore, fifty percent of A.A.s considers their health as a high priority. The reception and utilization of health information are well recognized as significant disease prevention (Musemwa & Gadegbeku, 2017). For this reason, healthcare organizations and healthcare providers should consider developing approaches that facilitate communication between patients and healthcare advocates. Effective communication will ensure that individuals have a clear understanding of the issues experienced by failing to adhere to hypertension treatment procedures (Xiong et al., 2018). Additionally, healthcare organizations should develop training programs to help patients learn the different approaches they can implement to adhere to the medication prescribed. Most patients fail to adhere to medication prescriptions due to a lack of knowledge concerning hypertension treatment procedures.

As a healthcare advocate, this project is essential since it educates both patients and healthcare providers about what to expect, the nature of the interaction with patients, and synchronizing information. Furthermore, this project is vital to healthcare advocates since it informs why African Americans fail to adhere to medication prescriptions, including cultural perception concerning treatment procedures (Musemwa & Gadegbeku, 2017). Conclusively, this project work is beneficial to healthcare advocates. It encourages advocates to develop training programs that can educate African Americans about the pros and cons of failing to adhere to hypertension treatment processes.

Answer

Assessing Risk and Reward

The Nissan Motor Company is one of the leading automobile makers in the world. The Japanese carmaker has primarily enjoyed a successful run, allowing it to enter various regional and international markets such as the United States. However, the changing business environment was not favorable to the company in 2019. Notably, the cooperation recorded losses amounting to 7.8%. The experience pushed the management into making tough decisions, requiring almost all of its North American workforce to go for unpaid leaves.

In late 2019, the company announced that the decline in sales necessitated a two-day unpaid leave for the North American workers. The stated days for the vacation were January 2 and 3rd    (Chicago Tribune, 2019).  Notably, this move was a crucial decision for the company because of its conflicting impacts. Whereas on the positive side, it could help the firm minimize expenses, it threatened to affect the public perception of the company regarding employee welfare.

The rewards for the decision involved cutting expenses by not paying the workers on leave, which eventually would translate into reduced expenses. Another reward was that the decision could allow the company to optimize performance by evaluating employee performances then developing new milestones. However, on the low side, the company risked affecting its public image and brand name, especially in the North American market. As per Chakravorti (2010), the way an organization treats its employees influences the firm's public perception. Thus, Nissan risked eliciting a negative public perception. With a distorted public image, the company could fail to revive its declining sales.

I would have advised the management of Nissan to utilize the Predictive Analytic perspective in determining the right decision to take. Ideally, the approach tries to predict what might happen in the future if particular decisions or actions are undertaken at the moment (Traymbak & Aggarwal, 2019). Looking at the situation at Nissan, the company needed to develop a goal such as increasing sales. After that, they would have made decisions aimed at realizing the set goal. In this regard, the predicted outcome could give the management an overview of whether more risks existed or significant rewards could be realized.
