Answer

Human Growth and Development

Gender Identity Disorder

Gender Identity Disorder (GID) is a condition that commonly affects peoples’ sexual orientation. In other words, it impacts their identity and makes them want to identify with the opposite sex, such that they become uncomfortable with their assigned gender (Bockting, 2015). In this case, physicians may recommend gender reassignment through surgery and hormonal therapy as an option for treatment. Patients must, however, go through a number of medical protocols before considering a gender reassignment option. For instance, they must possess a well-documented, persistent GID; have the capacity to make informed decisions regarding their health and consent for treatment; be of an appropriate age based on their country’s regulations; and have their medical and health concerns under control (Bockting, 2015). Besides, they must undergo a minimum of three psychological evaluations, which should be conducted by an experienced, licensed, clinical psychologist.

Personality Traits

Employee personality tests have become popular within many organizations globally.  The tests are often scheduled before the final interview during the recruitment process. There are various advantages of conducting an employee personality test. First, it provides employers with a deeper insight of the applicants’ skills and characteristics, thus making it easier for them to identify the right candidate for the interview.  Secondly, it ensures that the selected candidate is assigned the correct role or position within a given organization, based on their traits and personality. Lastly, the results of the tests can be used by the employer to set the stage for the interview process. On the other hand, some of the tests can be complex and time consuming and thus discourage potential candidates from proceeding with the application process. In this case, a complex personality test is more likely to make me feel intimidated by the process as a potential applicant.

Moral Development

Cases of bullying have been on the rise lately, particularly, among teenagers and young adults.   Bullying refers to the deliberate and repeated act of causing harm towards others. It often involves an imbalance of power, where the bullies inflict harm on persons weaker or younger than them. It can take various forms including verbal, physical, relational, or cyber bullying, just to mention. The Helpguide.org website is an example of an internet resource that can be used by both parents and educators to minimize bullying behaviors. It talks about the effects of bullying and recommends effective steps that can be implemented by teachers, parents, and students to combat bullying.  For instance, parents are advised to educate their children on the effects of bullying. In other words, educating them helps in creating awareness and equips children with the necessary knowledge and skill to deal with bullying incidences in case they occur.
