Answer
Human Value in Relation to Abortion, Designer Babies and Stem Cell Technology
Human values are an integration of closely related but critical elements of life. Among key is balancing the equation of nature and artificial intelligence. This assignment briefly argues on the value of human in relation to controversial issues like abortion, designer babies and stem cell technology.
Human value has been the highest esteemed life on all earth. Science, Nature, Ethics and Religion all give ultimate value to human life and since no particular principle fully understands life, any practice which would pose known or unknown danger to human life is often crucially controversial. Value attached to humans begins right at pregnancy because that is the origin of life (Manninen, 2015). A process which would terminate the life of an embryo without an ethically, religiously, scientifically sound reason is an abuse to human value. Abortion for instance is only justifiable under conditions which would maximize human benefit from it. For any other reason apart from saving life of the expectant mother, abortion is immoral, whether for scientific research or whatever other reason.
Designer babies and Stem cells have been in test for a long time and arguably the driving force is proactive management of some diseases. Designer babies focus on modifying the genetic makeup of babies so as to evade some health problems. The same applies to stem cell. The both question however is that there is neither proof of practically of post implementation safety (Resnik, & Vorhaus, 2006). They therefore pose great and unknown risks to human value because nobody knows and can predict the final results of either of the two concepts. As far as matters are, both designer babies and stem cell technologies pose huge threat to human value.
Abortion, designer babies and stem cell may seem genuine at the face values, but there is great likely hood than meets the eye that there is more to regret than to benefit. Human value is as optimal at it is even to reason and scientifically and ethically make life better but only through practical and proven technologies.
