Technology is continuously being applied in our career fields and workplace environments. After reading the article in our textbook on pages 50-52 “How Technology Is Destroying Jobs” (Rotman, D. 2013), please respond to the following questions.
Do you believe that technological advances implemented within our work environments really ARE destroying our jobs?
As you evaluate the application of technology within your own work position, are you concerned that future technological advancements (i.e. robots, automated forms of communication, etc.) will replace your position in the future?
Share an example of how a human AND a technological device working together may be better than either entity accomplishing that expectation alone.
What opportunities are available within your current or future career field to ensure technology does not “take over” that position in your place?
