Answer
Informative Essay
Driving is a technical process that entails moving a motor vehicle from one point to another (topic sentence). The process is performed by a driver who has to possess a driving license. The license acts as a permit for driving on public highways. Most drivers prefer automatic to manual cars. However, the principle behind the driving process is almost the same. The driver first has to engage the gear level in both processes (supporting sentence). The difference is that for automatic cars, the gears are programmed to shift instantaneously, while in manual transmission, the driver has to engage the clutch to shift the gear depending on the desired function (Blain, 2016). While doing so, a driver has to adhere to driving rules, such as indicating directions before turning and being courteous to other road users (concluding sentence).
Descriptive Essay
Each family has a unique family tradition passed on from one generation to another (topic sentence). In my family, we value the thanksgiving, which is often the most exciting reunion of the year (supporting sentence). During this period, I get to meet with all my lovely cousins at my grandmother's house a day before the fourth of November. The celebrations begin at night with binge-watching of the latest movies. All the family members have to dress in pajamas and watch besides their favorite persons. On the material day, we all wake up late and have hearty conversations while taking sumptuous meals all day long. We then have a pool party and goat eating in the evening before relaxing for the day, where we share gifts and rest for the night.
I look forward to the reunions and thanksgiving each year because of the excitement (concluding sentences).
Reflection
I have been practicing how to construct coherent paragraphs, which enabled me to work through the tasks with ease. However, my overzealousness with perfection made me revise my work over and over to make polish it.
Writing for a particular purpose and audience is empowering since it provides the writer with an opportunity to express themselves, knowing that the target audience will be captivated by reading the work. Secondly, I was keen to ensure that the essays are convincing because I assumed the audience could be critical of my presentation of ideas and chronology of events.
The writing modes are essential since they guide the selection of themes for different scenarios. Secondly, understanding the mode guide the author into using specific words to achieve the desired goal. Third, mastering the art of writing for different audiences’ readies students for their career path.
