However, the legal market will feature reasonable prices, but the taxation should be heavily given the fact that users will not mind spending the extra amount of the drugs they require.

However, if the people can get access to the same drugs in the legal market, regulations will ensure that no individual will want to benefit at the expense of others. In addition, since the prices will be the same, many will prefer the legalized version. This will see to it that the drug traffickers lose their loyal customers since they will no longer see a need of risking their freedom in case they get caught (Oglesby, 2017). In return, the economy will also benefit from the heavy taxes that will be imposed on these products. Therefore, legalizing some drugs will ensure that crime is reduced as the drug traffickers will not have anything left to come to conflict about (Williams et al., 2016). Crime is often costly as it leads to destroyed property, loss of valuables, and even the loss of lives. Therefore, the saved costs can be channelled towards improving the economy.
