My Personality Type and what it says about me

My personality type is Introversion, Intuition, Thinking, Judgment (INTJ) or a logic-driven personality type with a focus on accomplishing goals and a talent for solving problems. The INTJs can focus far into the future with a significant level of accuracy. A logic-driven personality type includes strategic planners. However, INTJ may disregard their happiness or emotions into their plans, thus may find themselves in relationships, patterns, or careers, which they no more derive pleasure from. Individuals with this type of personality are more likely to be perceived “different” or misunderstood by others (Truity para. 1-2).

        INTJ personality means that I have a critical mind, focused, and blunt on getting results. I often do not have any room for casual chitchat. In addition, it means I tend to dodge social settings and instead focus on work, ideas, and projects. People with such a personality type often tend to form close and deep relationships with a small number of individuals that they can trust. Friends mean a world to this personality type (Truity para. 2). The INTJs mean I am regarded as ‘Jacks-of-all-trades’ since I am open-minded, independent, determined, have strategic abilities, and are confident in almost anything (16 Personalities para. 6). I am also capable of doing anything in which I have set my eyes and mind on. This is because I can analyze issues that life can throw to me in an excellent manner (16 Personalities para. 6).

        A logic-driven personality has certain weakness though. First weakness is that they are arrogant since they can have an ability of carrying their confidence too far; thus, hurting others as a result (16 Personalities para. 7). The second weakness is their judgmental nature since they can dismiss historical determinants and may fail to consider people’s emotions in favor of rational arguments and logic (16 Personalities para. 8).  The third weakness is that their over-analytical abilities may be inadequate at times; especially in cases where logic does not rule (16 Personalities para. 9). The fourth weakness is that INTJ may make life difficult since they disdain simple social conventions, rules, and authority (16 Personalities para. 10). The last, but not the least, weakness associated with the INTJ personality is that they are clueless in romance since they are antiparty to rules, judgmental, over-analytical, and at times arrogant (16 Personalities para. 11).

        I feel that the INTJ personality is correct since I can identify with most of the above characteristics, abilities, and abilities of a logic-driven person. However, I cannot identify with the argument that INTJ personality types are arrogant and poor when it comes to romance. I am often kind to others and often careful when choosing my actions and words so as not to offend anyone. This is the case, even if I am the one who is offended in the first place. Besides, I can affirm that I have emotional intelligence abilities and hence, can identify and react appropriately to others’ feelings, emotions, and beliefs. I attribute these abilities to my upbringing and deep Christian beliefs.

        Some well-known or famous people are associated with the INTJ personality. Famous INTJs include Woodrow Wilson, Susan B. Anthony, Dwight D. Eisenhover, Isaac Asimov, Richard Gere, John Maynard Keynes, C.S. Lewis, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Elon Musk. The above famous people are in accordance with the view that INTJs personality types can excel in almost all fields including science, business, literature, and philosophy (Solo para. 3).
