National Defense Strategy
The Department of Defense sole responsibility is to enhance the military force capability through providing them with necessary support to deter war and largely the nation. In light to this, the Department of Defense has formulated a National Defense strategy to improve efficiency and military prominence. The 2018 National Defense Strategy includes:-
- Being strategically predictable while becoming operationally unpredictable. It is crucial for the U.S. Army to integrate with allies in order to combat rivals. The forces, however, does not disclose their dynamic recruitments and military stance.
- Incorporation with U.S. interagency. Strategically, the U.S. work hand-to-hand with interagency such as Intelligence Community, Homeland Security and the Department of State in order to identify and encourage partnerships to counter vulnerability in the economic and technological sectors.
- Counter coercion and subversion. The U.S. National Defense Strategy features the eradication political subversion and economic malpractices through supporting the interagency by working with them.
Fostering competitive mindset. Enhancing competitive advantage is at the core of these strategies. The Department of Defense approach is to reestablish military readiness, strengthening alliances and reforming the Department’s economic practicesthe Department’s economic practicesvital in leadership and the attainment of desired results.
