Answer

Organic Lanthanide Thin Film Fabrication for Optical Applications

                                            Marvin C. Clemmons

Thin film fabrication is important application in the field due to create sensors, more examples, ,,,,,. The purpose of our research was to determine the plasmonic responses of lanthanide elements with a ligand Eu(TTA)₃(L1A) to observes surface plasmons[1].Thin films were fabricated using the Langmuir-Blodgett technique with monolayer and multilayers of Eu(TTA)3(L1a) solution on metal and dielectric substrates to observe optical and magnetic emission processes on meta-materials[1]. Lanthanide elements are of interest due to electron configuration, optical emission properties, …..[2] The objectives in our  research is to fabricate thin flims of gold and silver and place the lanthanide complex on glass and silicon materials obersve plasmonic response(SPP). We will demonstrate the ability to fabricate monolayer and multilayer films of lanthanide complex on these surfaces to observe localized and surface plasmons on metals and dielectric surfaces. We will also observe the emission spectra and magnetic response of europium on different meta-materials.
