Answer
The Digital Art
Prompt 2
Violas’ statement indicates that digital art or digital image is becoming a common aspect of current art. Digital art/image is an artistic activity or custom that utilizes digital technology as a component of the exhibition or artistic process. According to German (2018), following the 1960s, different names have been used to describe digital images, including multimedia art and computer art. Digital art itself is grouped under the umbrella phrase “new media art,” expanding due to technology advancements.
I agree with Viola’s statement that digital image or digital art has become the common language in these modern times, providing artists with a platform to communicate directly to individuals in the language of their experience. Technology has become a significant influence on modern civilization. It has significantly influenced how individuals perceive, design and appreciate art. For instance, many artists use Photoshop and digital cameras to design and edit pieces more than ever before (German, 2018). Moreover, artists are using computers to connect and seek inspiration. Fundamentally, the digital image has helped expand the limits of an artist’s creativity while also narrowing artists’ constraints. According to German (2018), digital art makes art’s production less troublesome. As a result, artists have extra time to study and expand their creativity.
Conclusively, the digital image has evolved due to the advancement in technology. Digital art serves as a significant influence that drives, shapes, and inspires contemporary work. Using different editing apps such as Photoshop and enhanced cameras, artists are presented with a platform to communicate to the world from different perspectives.
