As a nurse in a leadership position, identify a problem that will be addressed through the creation of a new policy in an organizational setting. Some examples of problems that need new policies to address are: increased mortality rates secondary to sepsis in acute care facilities, decreased first-time pass rates on the NCLEX-RN in pre-licensure nursing programs, or incivility in the workplace resulting in decreased employee morale. You must identify a problem in an organizational setting and create a new, evidence-based policy that will address the problem you have identified.
