This commitment is continuous and is geared to help them come up with products that will have better functionality. The other attribute of the vision is the focus of the company. The company is thinking about the visually impaired individuals. It therefore, thinks outside the box and at the same time restoring hope to a segment of potential customers that have been secluded. The vision furthermore, demonstrates ambitions of ensuring that it supplies its products to all potential clients across the world. It therefore establishes the need for the entire community and society to have been empowered and to be in need of its services and products. Appropriateness of the Vision Statement
In deed the vision is appropriate and fits the Dell Inc. on many fronts. The vision gives a picture of what the company expects and as well acts as a source of inspiration and at the same time as a framework for the strategic planning of the company (Cooke, 2015). The company deals in technology products and identifies the need for all people, even those with physical challenges as requiring address. It therefore, through situational analysis understands that no other company has achieved this, by creating or developing products that can be used by visually impaired people. It appeals to cognitive level as it demonstrates the level of research and skills/expertise expected to be exemplified to achieve it. On emotional level it triggers passion and desire as people feel that even those that have been discriminated and forgotten are also in the plans of the company. This concern is therefore what elicits these emotions.
Vision Statement vs Organizational Change
A vision is like a dream and hopes about a business (Free, 2014). Dell vision is an inspiration that would challenge employees to always think about ways in which they would come up with efficient products that can be used by the visually impaired. Therefore, this vision statement has a role and is set for any changes in an organisation. Employees and stakeholders must remain open, flexible and receptive to any changes that would propel them to fulfilling this particular vision. This vision would actually trigger the company to plan on suitable strategies at different moments of their operations. Dell has always embraced change in various ways, such as adopting new marketing strategies such as social media etc.
