Introduction
Statistics forms a very critical aspect of not only the public health system but also general health practice. Through statistics, epidemiological data in healthcare is available. The data is used to map regions, and thus facilitate effective public health strategies that benefit the general public. Individuals in the healthcare field need to have adequate knowledge of the statistical concepts. A good example is drug calculation and dosage adjustments. In as much as they may seem to be a basic concept, lack of statistical skills can easily result in a case of overdose and eventual harm or even death of a patient. Example of the Use of Statistical Data

The data is organized and summarised and can quickly be analysed to show trends and variations that are of great importance in public health.
