    Here are the sections that are required for your written case analysis assignments.  Please use these section headings within your document to make it easier for everyone to review your case analysis.

    • Title Page: Identify yourself, the course #, session #, Case name, Date prepared
    • Abstract: Preview your analysis document letting the reader know what they will gain from reading the remainder of your document
    • Problem or Opportunity (whichever your review concludes): This defines the core focus of your analysis.  A problem is something that needs to be resolved for the organization described in the case.  An opportunity presents options to enter new markets, offer new or improved services, ETC.
    • Analysis: This is the core analytical task required for your analysis. As such, it presents your analysis of the quantitative and qualitative elements presented in the case, and supplemented by at least one external source (usually via Internet based research on the case topic).  Integrate the case and external source information with your own analysis.     Abstract

The paper discusses the organization's strategies to enhance care quality within the eye and vision care system and improve access to proper eye care by suggesting appropriate insurance coverage.

    Problem

    According to Visions healthcare institute, access to healthcare services is the main issue often affecting their patients. This is swayed by various determinants, including wages, distance from optic care providers, resources, and optics insurance coverage (Chen et al., 2020). Nonetheless, the optic and vision care systems are also influenced by overreaching cultural and policy limitations, such as the availability of skilled eye care experts and reimbursement policies that restrict coverage for essential assistance and facilities. Consequently, directly influencing communities requiring help and at risk of suffering from uncorrectable and uncorrected vision impairment (Newman-Casey, Woodward, Niziol, Lee & De Lott, 2018). Generally, the five-year plan for Visions healthcare institute centers on increasing its staff and enhancing eye care insurance coverage. This paper aims to discuss a five-year care strategy for Visions Healthcare organization by assessing its   Medicare and medicine strategy for eye treatment. 

    Analysis

    Vision impairment affects different individuals in the US. Studies indicate that at least 6.4 million individuals encounter uncorrectable eyesight impairment, while 8.2 to 15.9 million individuals have an uncorrected refractive fallacy. Researchers suggest that some populations are at high risk for vision impairment due to different conditions (Newman-Casey et al., 2018). For instance, children are often attacked by amblyopia and strabismus, resulting in persistent eyesight impairment without immediate invasion. Age-associated complications, such as cataract and glaucoma, are considered to be more common in older people, but the illness prevalence can be minimized with effective and early intervention (Lee et al., 2018). Although the etiologies of eyesight impairment and the symptoms of the concerned population are diverse, access to appropriate care is an approach to alleviate the seriousness of the influence of eyesight impairment.

    Assumptions

    The policy of the Ministry of Health for eye care is often driven by the basis of Vision 2020, "The right to Sight."  Vision healthcare institute’s five-year care strategy, therefore, aims to minimize the illnesses resulting in blindness through immediate discovery and suitable intervention to minimize blinding complexities. Visions healthcare institute favors enhancing curative and precautionary services provided to the patients by increasing the number of qualified eye care providers. Thus, improving human resources and reviving ophthalmic technologies for examination and treatment necessitates the identification of services principally at secondary and tertiary optic care institutes.

    Open issues

    Vision insurance coverage is a step that necessitates different entities, both public and private. Many patients often lack proper treatment since they cannot access adequate healthcare institutes (Lee et al., 2018). Moreover, eye treatment costs also prevent patients from accessing the best care (Chen et al., 2020). Government and private institutes are obliged to review the current policies of Medicare and medicine concerning eye treatment.

    Recommendation

    Vision healthcare institute needs to consider the Medicare Advantage strategy and a government incentive provided through insurance companies contracted with Medicare. This approach guarantees coverage that extends beyond Original Medicare. Medicare advantage may cover routine eye tests, eyeglasses, contacts, and fittings for frames. However, for this coverage to be sufficient, the organization must ensure that its entire patients are insured.
