w‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍Please response to this review Although the purpose of nursing has not changed, informatics has a significant impact on how the profession conducts daily business, focusing on the accuracy and transmission of patient data to ensure successful results. Informatics is already a reality for nurses at all levels thanks to patient records and other devices like heart monitors. The capacity to manage personnel, workflow, and communication are just a few of the operational components of a company that benefits from health informatics. As a result, this may assist nursing leadership in identifying areas where present procedures can be enhanced, such as tracking patient enrollment and preserving an acceptable staffing level for secure patient care. Effective use of technology and data collected may speed up procedures, reduce needless delays that add unneeded expenses, or even cause negative results like fatalities (Macieria et al. 2017). Nursing interdisciplinary huddles have become commonplace, ensuring that a team-based approach to patient care is always maintained. When the bedside nurse reports the patient’s state and suggestions are made to improve patient outcomes, representatives from all the key disciplines, including the medical team, nutrition, respiratory, pharmacy, and case management, are often present. The team members are present to address any potential issues, which has not only increased communication within the disciplines but also saved time by only having ‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍to transmit the same information once. There are instances when nurses are unaware of all the technology at their disposal or easier methods to utilize it. It might be helpful to have an informatics team member participate in the daily huddle to provide insight or just gather data to enhance current procedures. For instance, nurses in my company often forget to collect sputum samples that were requested upon admission but were not done so because the patient was unable to cough up anything useful. After a few days, there is no flag to remind the current nurse to recover the uncollected sputum sample, and communication between nurses about it is disrupted. To close this gap, the informatics team might designate a flag in the electronic record to alert the nurse that a collection is missing until it is procured and sent to the lab. The team is kept aware of their presence and the crucial part they play in daily operations by having them present and visible. The interdisciplinary team, informatics team, and nurses work together to ensure that the service delivery process runs well (McGonigle & Mastrian, 2022). The future of nursing is brighter thanks to the ongoing technical advancement of nursing informatics as a medical specialty. Collaborative interactions will be improved, while manual and superfluous tasks will be eliminated. Therefore, better patient outcomes, productivity gains, cost savings, and quality improvements will be made (Wang, Kung & Byrd, 2018)‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍.
