- Why have you chosen to apply to the USC Primary Care PA Program?
There are several Physician Assistant Programs all over the country and even across borders. However, my selection is the USC Primary Care PA Program for variable reasons. The most important motive behind my application to your program is the mission statement. I find several elements of the mission statement of the USC Primary Care PA Program align with my goals and priorities in life both personally and professionally. Essentially, not only does this particular PA program advance physician assistant education, it also focuses on serving the medically underserved. I have established several times that one of my major priorities and source of fulfillment in life is to serve and support the less fortunate in the community. Therefore, I appreciate a system and program that also dedicates itself to a similar cause; which makes me desire to be a part of the USC Primary Care PA Program.
Additionally, I also appreciate the fact that the USC Primary Care PA Program emphasizes on the understanding and appreciation of diversity. Personally, I have always found the concept of diversity to be rather intriguing. In both my education and profession, I have had a chance to encounter and work with people from different grounds on the bases of race, culture, gender, and sexuality among others. My experiences have taught me to appreciate diversity and I feel that the USC Primary Care PA Program would play a fundamental role in helping me to embrace it altogether.
Another reason for my selection of USC Primary Care PA Program is attributed to its reputation of providing a high quality education. I have conducted fastidious research on various programs within and without the country. Ultimately, I have determined that the USC Primary Care PA Program is the only program that aligns with my goals and objectives as well as provides high quality training. For instance, I appreciate the fact that students are not only taught theoretically but also given a chance to practice their acquired education under the supervision of an actual physician. I have always had distaste for PA Programs that are mainly focused on the theoretical aspect of education and forsake the practical aspect. I desire a program that will allow me to put my newly acquired education to the test and correct me whenever I err. The USC Primary Care PA Program is the most suitable choice for me to pursue further education in my chosen field.
