Answer

  • To: Department Team Members

    From: Supervisor

    CC: Manager

    Date: 06/12/2020

SUBJECT: REQUEST TO EXTEND TIME OF WORK

    Dear Team Members,

I hope this email finds you well. With the ongoing global crisis, the past two months have hit us really hard. As had been communicated earlier, we deemed it prudent to ask most of us to follow the health experts’ directive and stay home during this period of pandemic. For this reason, work has been compiling at the office as none of us could work from home due to the nature of our work. However, we have reached a period when we need to ensure that this work is completed on time in order to ensure the organization remains active and is able to pay all of its employees while still satisfying its very loyal customers. We need to fulfil all of our pending customers’ orders and complete transactions in order to avoid late penalties.

It is with this reason that I make this plea. I ask each one of us to kindly avail themselves for work next week as we strive to complete all the tasks that we have on pending. Furthermore, with the weight of the tasks at hand as compared to the deadlines we have, it would be near-impossible to finish all the work in time on our normal working schedule. In that regard, I wish to ask that we all extend our working schedules. I ask that we all come to work an hour early and stay one hour late for the whole week. I know this is much to ask, but extreme times require extreme measures.

In the past few weeks, the management has been on its toes as they try to make the working conditions as safe as possible for each one of its workers. Therefore, as you come back, be sure that each one of you will be required to follow all the essential guidelines in order to maintain employee safety. Furthermore, due to the inconvenience caused on the schedule of each one of you, the management has agreed to provide a token of appreciation every day for the whole week as we thank you for your cooperation and continued support. We look forward to seeing you.

    With kind regards,

    Yousef AlQallaf

    Supervisor.

    • QUESTION

     Islam (Religion)

The First half of the paper should consist of beliefs and commandments of that religion.
The second half of the paper should consist of how that religion can help a country or community develop or advance economically, politically, and socially.

    ANSWER

    Islam Religion

Islam is the second-largest religion in the world after Christianity, with a rough estimate of close to 1.8 billion Muslims globally. Faith in the Islam religion is growing rapidly across the world, resulting in a high number of believers in the religion. Islam means to submit to the will of God, and the people who follow the Islamic religion are called Muslims (Marzouki, 2017). They are monotheistic because they worship one supreme God, who they call Allah in Arabic. Muslims live their life submitting to the teachings of Allah, for they believe that it is through Allah’s will that everything happens.

Islam religion teaches that the word of Allah was revealed to their prophet, Prophet Muhammed, by Angel Gabriel (Peel, 2016). Other Prophets as well were sent to teach Allah’s word, the Islam religion reveals, and they even respect and recognize these prophets from the Jewish and Christian religions. They include Abraham, Noah, Moses, and Jesus, but the Islam religion teaches that Muhammad was the last and final prophet, and so their faith and belief lie in the teaching of Muhammad.

Islamist followers gather together to worship Allah in a Mosque, their house of worship, and their major holy scriptures are detailed in the 144 surahs, (chapters) of the Quran. Therefore, Muslims worship Allah by praying and reciting the Quran for they believe in life after death, and that there will be a day of judgment for all who sin or go against the teachings in the Quran. The epicenter of the Islam faith lies in their will to defend their faith either internally, or externally, called ‘jihad’, which means “struggle”.

    Five main pillars strengthen the Muslim faith and act as the major commandments governing the Islamic religion. These pillars include;

    1. Shahada, meaning to profess your faith to one supreme God and belief in Muhammed.
    2. Salat, which means praying five times every day that is during dawn time, at noon, afternoon, at sunset, and in the evening.
    3. Zakat, which means giving to those who are in need.
    4. Sawm, which mans to fast during Ramadan
    5. Hajj, meaning to make a pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in a lifetime if someone is capable.

Islam also has a legal system known as Sharia Law. It is a code lying within their faith that aligns the way of living in almost every aspect of a Muslim’s life. Breaking or going against these laws has consequences that can be very severe (Peach & Vertovec, 2016). For example, laws against theft dictate that a person who is caught stealing should be amputated. There are also strict laws against adultery such as stoning the perpetrator to death. Moreover, these laws require women and men to dress appropriately, and in them too, lies guidelines to marriage, and principles that guide the Muslims' morals.

Islam religion, just like most religions around the world, teaches values such as equality, human dignity, peace, freedom, and solidarity. Moreover, Islam puts more emphasis on doing unto others as we would expect to be done unto us. These values and teachings contribute enormously to the economic, political, and social growth of countries and communities (Marzouki, 2017). For instance, Mosque and Islamic forums have been used as a platform to address issues affecting peace and security internationally, the environment, the health of citizens, and poverty. Governments liaising with international organizations such as the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and regional organizations like the European Union, and Organization of the Islamic Conference have shared, through these forums and Islamic religious institutions, the commitment of advocating for peace, equality, conflict resolution, and human dignity. Through conferences, diplomacy, mediation, and negotiations, Islam religion has been at the forefront in promoting the political stability of many Islamic Nations.

Islam religion has found its way through all the continents of this world, and many countries harbor Muslims within their borders. This diversity has contributed to the economical growth of the Islamic Nations. Notably, trade, communication, and technology have all developed within Islamic states, easing the interaction between Muslims of these states and other Nations. The internet and technology have made it easier for these Islam States to send messages of peace across the globe (Ali, 2015). The developments of Islamic countries in terms of technology and hospitality have been shared publicly to attract people from all backgrounds to share in these developments. Islamic countries that were once perceived as war zone areas and deserts are now the most peaceful and technologically advanced countries that people all over the world wish to visit.

Religious teachings spread through the internet and television have made people from all religious backgrounds to respect other people’s beliefs and practices. The enormous effort to spread the word of peace and equality all around the world has enabled socialization amongst Islamic states and the rest of the world to be achievable (Peel, 2016). Wars and crime have been condemned by the Islam religion, and people who practice these injustices in the name of Islam religion have been condemned and punished by the Islamic states. These states have pledged and made pacts with organizations to promote social peace within territorial borders and across their borders, as well.

In conclusion, Islam religion continues to grow across the globe. The message being spread around the world today is of a peaceful Islamic community. People from different religions are increasingly appreciating and respecting the Islamic religion and its practices.
