There is a lot of recent research looking at how the pandemic has affected gender inequality particularly in the division of labor in the household. When kids for example were doing work online women often took sole responsibility of monitoring this and we have seen a lot of women lose jobs and leave the workforce as result of these extra burdens during the pandemic.
What kind of supports do you think that the federal government could put in place to help ensure that people were able to meet family and work obligations? Do you think that we do enough in the US to ensure that people can address each of these areas of responsibility?
