You will produce the rhetorical adaptation that you pitched in the proposal last week. You should construct the adaptation as if it were being sent to/showed
to/presented to/etc. your target audience. Regardless of the project’s form, you will turn in all written components (scriipts, presentation notes, outlines, etc.).
This assignment will be graded based on the following criteria:
Knowledge of and adherence to chosen genre conventions (50 pts)
Anticipation of audience’s needs and discourse expectations (50 pts)
Ability to communicate original message within the given forms, contexts, genres, etc. (50 pts)
After you have completed your rhetorical adaptation project, you will reflect critically on the adaptation process. This reflection consists of two parts. First,
you will describe the specific ways in which you adapted your argument to a new audience and context and explain why you made the rhetorical choices that
you did. Second, you will assess your adaptation on the basis of course learning outcomes. You will find prompts to guide both parts of your response below.
